Roy G. Arnold/Agricultural Research Foundation Leadership Award

PURPOSE:

To recognize an administrator for outstanding contributions and noteworthy leadership in advancing the research mission of the Agricultural Experiment Station and the College of Agricultural Sciences. 

NATURE:

The recipient will receive $1,000 and a plaque. 

ELIGIBILITY:

Nominees must be a Department Head, a Branch Station Director, a Research Center Director, or a faculty member with significant administrative responsibilities within the College of Agricultural Sciences. 

CRITERIA:

Evaluations will be based on the following:

  • Leadership in developing new research programs or initiatives.
  • Engaging stakeholders in advancing the research objectives of their units.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and assisting the development of new faculty.
  • Demonstrating scholarship in their performance of their administrative duties.
  • Service to the college and university.
  • Recognition in their discipline.
  • Peer recognition.

Nomination Materials:

In addition to the base nomination materials required for all awards (one (1) paragraph bio-summary, letter of nomination, and three (3) supporting letters), nomination packets must also include:

  1. The nomination materials should address the criteria above.
  2. Professional resume.
  3. Position description.

Complete nomination packets should be combined into one PDF document and emailed to CAS-Deans.Approval@oregonstate.edu no later than 5:00 pm on April 28, 2025. Corrections or updates to nomination packets will not be accepted after the nomination deadline.
