PURPOSE:
To recognize outstanding and exceptional service by Faculty Research Assistants/Associates within the College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University
NATURE:
Up to two (2) recipients will be selected. Each recipient will receive a cash award of $1,000 and a plaque.
ELIGIBILITY:
Nominees must be a member of research faculty within the College of Agricultural Sciences and hold the rank of Faculty Research Assistant, Senior Faculty Research Assistant (I or II), Faculty Research Associate, or Senior Research Associate (I or II). At the time of nomination, the nominees must have a minimum of three (3) years of service within the College of Agricultural Sciences.
CRITERIA:
Evaluations will be based on the following criteria:
- Job performance and innovation - as it exceeds normal expectations.
- Willingness to accept new responsibilities.
- Peer recognition.
- Evidence of continued professional growth and development.
- Involvement in University-related outside activities.
NOMINATIONS MATERIALS
In addition to the base nomination materials required for all awards (one (1) paragraph bio-summary, letter of nomination, and three (3) supporting letters), nomination packets must also include:
- The nomination materials should address the criteria above.
- Professional resume.
- Position description.
Complete nomination packets (combined into one PDF document) should be emailed to CAS-Deans.Approval@oregonstate.edu no later than 5:00 pm on April 28, 2025. Corrections or updates to nomination packets will not be accepted after the nomination deadline.
