Faculty and staff awards will be presented at the annual College of Agricultural Sciences' Faculty and Staff Awards Ceremony. These awards include many cash prizes and are only made possible through the generosity of friends of the College. Please consider carefully your staff and colleagues, including those in the county offices and the extension and research centers, as well as state leaders, who deserve recognition through these awards. This is our opportunity to recognize those who are truly deserving!
Faculty & Staff Awards Luncheon
The award recipients will be officially announced at the College of Agricultural Sciences Faculty and Staff Awards Luncheon, which will take place on June 5 at 12:00 PM in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Any commemorative and monetary awards will occur at the same time. For questions, please contact Amber Zambrano (amber.zambrano@oregonstate.edu) in the CAS Dean's Office.
Nominations
The base requirements listed below (numbers 1-3) must be submitted for each award nomination. Any additional required materials and award-specific guidance (number 4) can be found on the award's web page (linked in the table below). Nominations should be coordinated through the respective department of the administrative unit.
**Unless otherwise noted on the award website, a nomination packet may be resubmitted for up to two years with the previously submitted letters of support. Other nomination materials (i.e. letter of nomination) should be updated as needed.**
Complete nomination packets (combined into one PDF document) should be emailed to CAS-Deans.Approval@oregonstate.edu no later than 5:00 pm on April 28, 2025. Corrections or updates to nomination packets will not be accepted after the nomination deadline. This packet should include:
- A one-paragraph summary of the awardee’s biography, specific to the award (250 word maximum). This paragraph will be used as a script to be read by the presenter during the awards ceremony.
-
A letter of nomination summarizing the major contributions of the nominee, as it relates to the award (maximum two pages, double-spaced).
- CAS strongly endorses the diversity, equity, and inclusion necessary to achieve the College’s teaching, research, and extension goals. The submitted nomination materials, as applicable, should document the nominee's commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Three supporting letters.
- Award-specific nomination materials, including any additional requirements for the above.
Eligibility
The Dean, Associate Deans, Chief Operating Officer, and all other Agricultural Sciences administration personnel are not eligible to receive an award or to participate in the nomination of an employee for an award.
