Interconnecting Light presents the art of Portland-based artist, Jennifer Joyce. This selection of paintings explores the rich connection of life occurring between the sun and the soil. Blending the forms of landscape, abstraction, and fantasy, Joyce writes, “beauty, emotion, and mystery are the essential elements of my work.”
Joyce’s art can be discovered throughout McMenamins’ restaurants, pubs, and hotels where she has been employed as a painter for over 30 years. She is represented by the Portland Art Museum Rental Sales Gallery (Portland, OR) and Attic Gallery (Camas, WA).
Jennifer Joyce received the 1990 Carey L & Glen S Strome Memorial Art About Agriculture Purchase Award for the watercolor painting, Patchwork. She also won the 1993 Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences Purchase Award for the watercolor painting, Southern Exposure.
