Artist Statement:
"The images from this series are aerial landscape photograph of North America river watersheds. My focus is water and the adverse impacts of land use upon it. At low altitude from helicopters and airplanes, I create enigmatic narrative abstractions' documents of point and no point factors that adversely impact our waters. From this perspective one sees a landscape continuously redefined by development and the factors of nature. The subversive formalism of the imagery and the rich colors underscore the deceptive beauty of the land, while the oblique shooting angle adds to the ambiguity of the work. With close inspection, the world below is troubled and complex."
